Transportation Licensing Center (TLC) Guam PSA Practice Test

To obtain a driver's license in Guam, in addition to successfully passing the written test, a vision test is required. This test is important because it ensures that the individual has adequate eyesight to drive safely. Good vision is critical for recognizing road signs, other vehicles, pedestrians, and any potential hazards on the road. Conducting a vision test helps maintain road safety by confirming that drivers can meet the visual standards necessary to operate a vehicle.

While a medical examination may be necessary in certain circumstances, such as for specialized licenses, it is not a general requirement for all applicants. Proof of vehicle insurance is essential for operating a vehicle legally but is typically addressed at the time of vehicle registration, rather than being a requirement for obtaining the driver's license itself. Parental approval is irrelevant for adult applicants, particularly if they are of legal age to drive. Thus, the vision test is the correct additional requirement for obtaining a driver's license.
